A positive attitude helps you cope more easily with the daily affairs of life. This can help you focus on your work and you will feel happy doing it instead of dreading work.
Determination – This is one of the key attitudes workers need, if they get stuck doing a task they need determination to keep trying until they succeed.
Self-motivation – Another key attitude which means the employee does not need someone to constantly motivate them as they can do it themselves. This attitude links in with another positive attitude, independence.
Independence – Those who are independent don’t need people constantly telling them what to do which saves time if they already know what they’re doing. Employers value this attitude as it shows you are strongly motivated and focused on the task and that they can rely on you to complete a set task.
Confidence – This is another key attitude and employers will look for this is potential employees. Being confident shows you aren’t afraid to ask if you need assistance instead of being too shy to ask for help.
Integrity – Being honest and having strong morals allows your employers to trust you more
Dependability– By being dependable it means your employers can rely on you to get a certain task done up to the required standard.
Punctuality –Being punctual shows you care about your job and that you are always on time –something highly valued by employers.
Respectful – By being respectful it shows you care about others and if someone asks you to do something, you’ll respect how they want it to be done
Problem solving – We encounter problems on a day to day basis. By being able to solve these problems you show many qualities like independence and self-motivation and show you have the ability to solve these problems
Tolerance – The ability or willingness to tolerate the existence of opinions or behaviour that you disagrees with. Sometimes you may think someone’s opinion is totally wrong but it’s important you let them have their own opinions and don try and change them.
Leadership – A good employee will not be shy when leading team. They will be able to designate roles to team members and ensure that the most effective way of completing a task is assured.
